5 THINGS TO INSTANTLY RAISE YOUR VIBRATION

In the midst of whats going on in the world today, it can be challenging trying to keep a positive outlook and vibration. Every time I turn on the news I instantly regret it. Being super sensitive to the media and energy can leave me feeling very depleted, drained, and just down in the dumps. 

I wanted to write this blog post because I KNOW I am not the only one who can struggle to stay in alignment when most of the world is not. That is why I wanted to share these 5 super easy, super powerful tips that I use to raise my vibrations instantly!

 

Ready? Let's go!


1) DANCE IT OUT

 

Dancing is one of the most popular ways of raising not only your vibration but the collective. It also allows us to activate our lower chakra systems which are all about creativity, expression, sexuality, stability, and transformation. 

I like to put on my favorite playlist, light some incense, turn on my salt lamp, and just have a dance party with myself. If you have kids, have them be part of the process! 


2) EFT/Tapping

Emotional Freedom Technique is fricken magical. Ever since I learned about it and become a certified practitioner, I use it in every aspect of my life! Whether it be with my 1:1 coaching clients, courses, with my kids, or myself! 

Emotional freedom technique (EFT) is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress. It's also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure. People who use this technique believe tapping the body can create a balance in your energy system and treat pain.

The second part of tapping are the affirmations you state out loud when tapping on the different parts of the body. 

Here is the script I use:

Even though _______________________________ (whatever you are working through at the moment)

I deeply and completely accept myself.

Say that 3x and go to the next point. Repeat.

3) Power Language & Movement

This super powerful technique comes from none other than amazing Tony Robbins. Emotion is created by motion. In other words, emotions are linked to movement in our bodies. Observe your posture when you are happy, as opposed to when you are sad — or what you look like when you are angry, versus when you are elated.

So basically, check in with yourself! Check in with your body. Are you slouched down over your computer? Are you rigid? Are you breathing shallow? 

Our emotional state shows by our body language. So if you want a quick pick me up, jump around! Skip, bang on your chest! State a positive affirmation while doing this! I know you are probably thinking to yourself "my god, I will look like a total Jackass!" but WHO CARES?!

You are meant to be happy!

You are meant to feel joy! 

Even if that mean looking like a weirdo doing it ;)


4) PIVOTING

This technique comes from Abraham Hicks. Pivoting is the action of taking a negative thought and turning into something more positive. 

 

Often times, people will go from thinking the worst possible thing and then trying to state the most positive thing in its place. 99% of the time this will not work. 

You create create your reality. You create your belief systems. So if your current belief system is "I am depressed." than telling yourself "I am the happiest person in the world" is not going to stick. 

Instead, pivoting your thoughts to less negative thoughts can allow you to gain a different perspective on your current circumstances.

For example:

If your belief is "I am so broke." change it to "I have all my needs met at this moment." ISTEAD OF "I am a millionaire."

 

If your belief is "I am so ugly." change it to "I don't look my best today, but that is okay, because i could look a lot worse." INSTEAD OF "I am the most beautiful person in the world."

 

You need to make the pivoting thoughts believable for YOU or else they will not work.


5) MY FAVORITE THINGS EXERCISE

 

This is an exercise I made up with the help of Julie Andrews. Remember in the Sound of Music when she sang "My favorite things" and she listed a bunch of her favorite things(obviously) well.. Go ahead and do that!

List 20 of your favorite things. I always say to start with small things. Like raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens. When we take the time to appreciate the small things in life that bring us joy - it helps us not only with realizing the miracles and magic all around us but also brings us to state of gratitude.
