3 TIPS FOR BEGINNER MEDIUMS

Ok. The fact that you are reading this blog post write now is an indication that you are either questioning the idea of mediumship or you have just realized that you are in fact a medium.
Kinda wild isn't it?
This journey you are embarking on is far more powerful than just being able to receive messages and evidence from souls that have crossed over. This journey is the path to your own soul.
Being a medium requires a lot of personal development and healing. It requires us to surrender and to have faith. And none of these things are easy my friend!
I have a lot to say about mediumship. I can share a lot of my own personal experiences and lessons that I have learned. I can talk about how each medium has their own unique connection to spirit. I can talk about the healing that comes along with this path, and how it requires the individual to come to terms with aspects of themselves that need healing. But I won't bore you with all of that right now. That's a book that is yet to be published ;)

Instead, I want to share with you 3 tips that will help you on your journey into mediumship.
TIP #1 - SURRENDER
As a spiritual mentor, I can't tell you how many of my clients struggle with the concept of surrendering. I'd be lying if I said I never had this problem myself. When I talk about surrendering I mean letting go of our Type A personalities, and the need to be always be right. When we hold onto that fear and doubt mentality while practicing mediumship, we hinder the connection to spirit because it lowers our vibration.
Mastering the art of surrendering will not happen overnight. It is going to take practice, and patience and a level of commitment to your mediumship and spiritual development. To be honest, I didn't know how Type A I was until I started developing my mediumship!
We have to remind ourselves, that if try our best, and always set the intention for the greatest good, that's all that matters.
TIP #2 - EMBRACE WHO YOU ARE
Claiming to be able to communicate with spirit is crazy. I'll be the first one to say it and I do communicate with the dead! There is going to be a lot of people that don't understand you and this work. There will be people who will be afraid, and hold fear based beliefs around the work you are doing. To fully embrace who you are and this work - you have to be okay with that.
You have to be okay with people not understanding you. You have to be okay with whispers behind your back, and people rolling their eyes. Because unfortunately, society hasn't caught up with the spiritual movement just yet.
Accepting who you are AND your spiritual gifts is the first step to a truly remarkable life. Don't dim your light in order to stay in the dark. Be the light.
TIP #3 - FIND YOUR TRIBE
Walking this path is always easier when you have an outlet to rely on. Find a psychic/mediumship development circle or mentor that you resonate with and that makes you feel comfortable. Use you intuition when it comes to this! Sometimes our energy can clash and the fit just doesn't work. You need to find an environment where you can grow and nurture your gifts.
